Alright folks, here is the project I have been putting my blood, sweat and tears into for the last quarter! I present to you:

I am so close to being done! The final crit is tomorrow and I am still feeling really nervous about it, but I also have everything together and figured out, so it should go over well. I finished up my artist statement as well as I could, sometimes I feel like you can only work on rewriting a paper so much before it starts turning to complete garbage. I hope to get a good grade on everything, I have been working really hard.
Other than actually putting the collection of work together, the longest part was the freaking image list I had to put together, however, it became really handy when putting all the images in order again after matting and bagging them. So, it was actually really worth it putting together. I had all of my images titled before I put them in the image list though, so they are in the order they will be presented on the image list instead of in sequential number order. I hope that is ok. Thinking about it now, they would look funny in a gallery presented like that... guess that'll be something I will change before I present them in a gallery.
In my next post I am going to post the order they will appear in the final, I am hoping it looks good, but I will be sure to get feedback on that tomorrow.

Oh my goodness, the whole process of getting this portfolio has been so stressful. First the printer was being weird, then the matboard cutter was broken! However, things were figured out and I was able to cut my matboads perfectly! I am now in the process of putting my mats together and doing little things here and there to fix my portfolio to be ready by wednesday. I will probably spend all day finishing up my matboards and hopefully I will be able to finish my artist statement tonight. I will also be working on my image list and grade statement at the same time, but if I can't finish tonight, then I will work on it more tomorrow.
I will update more asap about my progress...

I have been working on images all weekend and feel that I finally have a good amount of images to put together a great portfolio. I have all the images printed out and ready for crit tomorrow. I think I need to sit down with them all and sort them which ones I for sure want in the portfolio and the order in which I want them to appear. I want to get some input on what images everyone likes the best and just really analyze which images are the strongest and best portray the message I want to get across.
I am also working on my artist statement and grade statement. I think the artist statement will be really easy to write because I have a really solid idea of what I am doing and I feel like its the strong message that will be easy for me to explain in words. I will have a harder time with the grade statement, but I kind of always have a hard time with that. I like having to do them, but they are kinda tough to write.
I am going to bust out the matt boards this week as well. I have all the materials and just need to figure out the measurements for the windows, which since I am so awful at math, it doesn't come easy to me. haha. I will update again after the crit with some final choice images and hopefully new suggestions that I can implement. Speaking of implementation; I made some changes to some of the images from last crit that were suggested. I think they turned out really well:

It looks kind of salmon pink again, so I might have to adjust it again. I have a print that looks slightly different. I will see what is said in crit.
I fixed the exposure in the corner like suggested and I think it looks better!
